I am writing from the heart, because this is how I photograph weddings. I observed so many poignant moments on Joanna and Antonio’s wedding day, and these things I know for sure: their committment to one another comes from two families where love admires and treasures the elderly, looks forward to the newest generations, and transcends our time on earth. There were so many touching moments throughout the day I found myself tearing up more than usual 🙂 What a beautiful celebration – I am so happy I was there!! Joanna and Antonio’s reception was held at the beautiful Tarrytown House in Tarrytown, NY. Many thanks to my longtime talented friend, Marie Papp, of Marie Papp Photography who photographed Joanna and Antonio’s wedding with me.
There is nothing quite like photographing a wedding in the beautiful, historic Plaza Hotel. Every moment was happy, every emotion was on their sleeves, from the early morning preparations to the very last song. The day danced along from highlight to highlight; from quiet to robust, with nothing but pure joy as Robyn and Andy’s families came together to celebrate their marriage and their families. I am so glad I have the chance to get to know these two families, and thank them very much for their kindness and thoughtfulness! Many thanks to my friend, Monika Broz, who worked with me and produced amazing images, as always! Flowers by the amazing Crest Florist, and one of my favorite bands – Starlight Orchestras – had everyone on the dancefloor from the moment they walked into the ballroom until the last song.
As I am catching up with blogging my summer weddings, I have to say, I love thinking about being on the beach right now! Caragh and Brian had a beautiful, elegant wedding in June, which was my second time photographing a wedding at Belle Mer. They used bright pinks for their florals – again done by the very talented Stoneblossom – and the bridesmaids wore gorgeous Coren Moore in navy blue. Caragh’s dress was Jenny Lee Couture that she bought at Mark Ingrahm’s Bridal Alteier in NYC. And something I’ve never seen before: Brian changed jackets and wore a white dinner jacket for the reception. Went really well for their first song: “Lucky” by Jason Mraz and Colbie Calliet. Caragh and Brian immediately made everyone feel welcomed and were extremely gracious to all involved. Loved it!!!
