Michael and Erica’s Stone House Wedding
Documented by Berit Bizjak, CPP and Barbara Wentzel (Second)
What a beautiful day we had with Erica and Michael for their Summer Stone House Wedding. We started our day early in the hills of Somerset County. We met with Erica and her parents at the iconic Bernardsville Inn in downtown Bernardsville. Shortly thereafter we met with Michael at The Cross Estate Gardens for her and Michael’s First Look. We absolutely love the grounds of the historic Cross Estate Gardens. The early twentieth-century landscape of the Cross Estate, characteristic of the Arts and Crafts period, includes a formal perennial garden, a wisteria-covered pergola, a mountain laurel allee, and a garden of native plants.
After their First Look, Erica and Michael whisked over to The Stone House at Stirling Ridge (Warren) for an intimate outdoor ceremony among their closest friends and family. Immediately following the party started with cocktails in the gallery before heading into the Lodge. This newest space at The Stone House has arched wooden ceilings which meet the stone accents and full-length windows of the surrounding four walls. Matched with exposed ductwork and modern chandeliers, this new space truly makes for a mesmerizing backdrop.
The intimate reception included the most beautiful florals and decadent desserts. The bride and groom graced the dance floor as their guests looked on with love. This day will be cherished by all who attended for many years to come.
It was an honor to document Erica and Michael’s wedding and we are happy to share some of their day.
