Megan and Ryan’s Park Savoy Wedding
What an honor it was to document Megan and Ryan’s Park Savoy wedding the weekend of Thanksgiving. It’s such a special time of year. With the holiday season in full swing I always love documenting weddings between Thanksgiving and Christmas. There is just something in the air. We started our day at Megan’s parent’s home where all of the girls got ready together and baby Maggie, Megan’s Niece and Flower Girl, took a well needed nap before the festivities of the day began! Megan’s hair was done by Amy Trasatti of Fuze Hair Studio and makeup was done by Kristin Luciano of House of Luciano before she slipped into her Jimmy Choo Shoes and gorgeous Lian Carlo gown from Elizabeth Johns Bridal Salon. Her gorgeous bouquet and flowers were created by Conroy’s Florist.
Megan and Ryan got married at her family church in Florham Park followed by a couples portrait shoot at the grounds of Megan’s old Alma Mater, Bayley-Ellard, which was so regal with the white columns and brick architecture. Immediately following we headed over to The Park Savoy and they quickly began to celebrate!
From the bride: Our wedding was the kickoff to the Holidays! It was the weekend right after Thanksgiving and a great time to be thankful for so much and for so many wonderful people who could share our special day with us. The colors were white flowers, a punch of Jade for Bridesmaids dresses and groomsmen/ring bearers bow ties, and some silver throughout to accessorize. We incorporated some branches into the centerpieces to continue our theme from the invitations and save the dates. Programs also entailed these wedding colors. The theme for our wedding was to keep it classic, bright, elegant, and timeless. I think all of the details of the day carried that theme out perfectly!
Even though it rained the day of our wedding, the day was still perfect. My favorite part was getting ready to walk down the aisle. Seeing so many close friends and family there to share our day melted my heart. Then seeing my soon to be husband’s face on the alter was so exciting and it gave me all the comfort in the world knowing we are about to start this amazing journey together!
Megan and I go way back, to when she babysat for my little ones (now not so little!). I was so thrilled when she contacted me to document such a momentous event! All my best to a beautiful couple!
