When I envisioned my wedding day on October 29, 2011, I pictured a crisp and sunny afternoon in Central Park, with glorious plums, burnt oranges, and deep reds circling above us in a flurry of leaves eager to drop—nay, cascade—down around our feet, as my new husband and I posed for photos in wedded bliss. What I actually got was a historic blizzard, the likes of which hadn’t been seen in the tri-state area in October since the Civil War.
Robyn and Andy’s stunningly beautiful wedding at the landmark Plaza Hotel in New York City is currently featured in Inside Weddings Spring 2010 issue! I loved photographing their wedding for all of the beauty, the history of the hotel, high energy, and high emotion it contained. Floral decor by the amazing Crest Florist, my friend and second shooter Monika Broz, and friend and videographer Glen Elliott.
There is nothing quite like photographing a wedding in the beautiful, historic Plaza Hotel. Every moment was happy, every emotion was on their sleeves, from the early morning preparations to the very last song. The day danced along from highlight to highlight; from quiet to robust, with nothing but pure joy as Robyn and Andy’s families came together to celebrate their marriage and their families. I am so glad I have the chance to get to know these two families, and thank them very much for their kindness and thoughtfulness! Many thanks to my friend, Monika Broz, who worked with me and produced amazing images, as always! Flowers by the amazing Crest Florist, and one of my favorite bands – Starlight Orchestras – had everyone on the dancefloor from the moment they walked into the ballroom until the last song.
