It’s always such an honor to be published in a wedding magazine or blog and what better couples to feature than Meredith & Andy and Kate & Matt!? Both couples were wed last June (2014).
Meredith & Andy
Meredith and Andy were married at the amazing Jasna Polana Mansion located in Princeton, NJ and recently featured in The Knot | New Jersey Magazine Spring Summer 2015 edition.
A former 226-acre estate of John and Barbara Johnson, the mansion was designed in a neoclassicistic style. Jasna Polana is Polish for “bright glade” and named for Tolstoy’s estate in Russia, Andy’s native country. Meredith and Andy began their search for a venue in the hopes of being married outdoors. They found more than they hoped for in the lush gardens of Jasna Polana and the beautiful reception area, the former pool room, which is round and enclosed with floor to ceiling glass walls, bringing the outdoors inside. The mansion and grounds were an elegant setting for an equally elegant wedding.
For this special day, Meredith chose to work with Agnieshka Burke, Creator and Principal Wedding Designer from Pumpkin Coach Events. Meredith selected a variety of flowers, including roses and peonies, in bold colors of fuscia and orange for her bouquets and centerpieces with beautiful gold mercury glass vessels, votives and gold rimmed chargers provided by Flowerful Events of Eatontown, NJ. The bride wrapped her father’s bow tie around her bouquet for her something blue and so that he could be there to walk her down the aisle. Beautiful draping in the dome added softness and helped extend the outdoors inside, giving the illusion of a tent. A wishing tree was inspired by blooming trees with multiple color flowers on the manzanita tree and tags purchased from Etsy with floral scenes and glittered edges.

Kate & Matt
Kate and Andy celebrated their special day at the beautiful Ninety Acres Culinary Center , a restored carriage house and garage of the original Natirar Estate, located in the Somerset Hills of New Jersey. Kate was born in Georgia and Matt in N. Carolina so they chose a Southern charm meet rustic romance theme for their DIY-delightful nuptials!
The beaming couple made their way down a petal-lined aisle and said their “I do’s” with a very special sand ceremony to commemorate their loved ones near and far. Guests nibbled on classic comfort food and sipped from playful paper straws during the outdoor cocktail hour before the festivities began. Inside the celebration, long wooden farm tables were topped with glowing tea lights and mason jars filled with amorous, blushing blooms. A dessert bar of sugary treats tempted loved ones to dive in, while a stunning tiered buttercream cake topped with feminine florals was oh-so-sweet. Monogrammed take-home bags filled with the Kate and Matt’s favorite things and bottled hot sauce handmade by the groom were the perfect send-offs for an evening of warmth and welcome.
