Sam and David are near and dear to my heart! When I arrived to photograph their Gotham Hall wedding in December of 2013 it was clearly going to be a snow-filled day. This didn’t stop them from truly enjoying the moment. These two jumped right into it – taking a walk in Manhattan amidst a snow storm with umbrella in hand. It made for some amazing photography – thank you guys! Once at Gotham Hall the fun didn’t stop.
If you have ever had an opportunity to attend a wedding or document a wedding at Gotham Hall is a really special space. Originally built in the 1920s as a bank, The Grand Ballroom boasts a miraculous gilded ceiling centered above the inlaid marble floor. In the center of the unique gold-leaf honeycombed design sits a one-of-a-kind 3,000 square foot stained-glass ceiling. Regal granite walls and solid limestone Corinthian columns adorning each end of the hall’s oval further accentuate the grandeur of the architecture. The Grand Ballroom at Gotham Hall is one of the most iconic spaces in all of NYC.
